Finally!

I’ve been a user of Google Voice for some time and quite frankly was a bit upset when the plug was pulled on the app in the app store. I know you could still call the number and still use the service but it would have been nice to have it right on the phone and handy (understanding that there is a app out there if you jailbreak your iPhone).

Today, Google announced that there is now a Web-app for Google Voice. It uses HTML5 to create a really slick interface to the service which you can then bookmark or add to your homescreen (iPhone) or launcher (Palm OS). I’ve already downloaded it and run a few tests and so far it works great and as advertised.

You can get the app by heading over to http://m.google.com/voice and read the full write up on the Google Voice blog. I’ve included their brief video overview below for your enjoyment.
