Out of soap.

Tonight at the boys’ den meeting we continued to work on their whittling chip by using their knives. A few weeks ago we started with proper use, sharpening and safety and tonight because they continued to manage to use their ears and common sense started whittling.

Many, many, soap shavings later we can some that looked like a bear and some that looked like blocks of soap that had been carved by a knife. On the whole a good evening with only one minor wound, Alex cut his thumb (my son and the the denner to boot) and all are looking forward to the next time they can take out their knives.
