So what is this site all about?

So, it’s about exploring options, finding solutions and experimenting. It about finding that cool stuff that causes others to ask “where did you find that and can you send me the link?”
It’s also about learning how to use technology to improve what you do, tips and tricks to help stay organized, get more done or just increase your chances of staying sane. 
I’ll be honest, some of what we find may even require you to step away from the computer! Yes, I know that’s going against the grain a bit but life isn’t just about the technology itself, it’s about what you can do with it.
You might be asking why I would do this – simple, it’s an outgrowth of who I am. I like finding those pieces of software, writing that script (Autohoykey for the most part right now but I’ve spent some time with Python as well) or finding that obscure reference that someone needs to accomplish the task that’s been assigned to them. I’m also hoping that those of you so inclined will also share your thoughts and experiences when a topic comes up that you know something about.
If you’ve read this far you might be wondering just who Scot Newbury is. Well, I’m a Training Department Supervisor for my day job (that’s the title, I actually fill many roles) and have been been online since the days when bulletin board systems (BBS) were all the rage and the big boy on the Internet was Prodigy; when your primary method for finding information was sending an email to gopher and I’m a firm believer that you can find or make a solution to just about any software need without resorting to spending an arm and leg for it.
